Abdulhakeem Kamkar Chief Executive Officer Dubai Investment Group
Abdulhakeem Kamkar is responsible for the overall strategic vision of the company, which focuses on long- and short-term investments, with the potential to deliver exceptional and sustainable returns.
Previously, Mr. Kamkar was CEO of Dubai Ventures where he was responsible for equity investments in Asia. He has over 20 years of experience in finance and investments.
Before joining Dubai Group, Mr. Kamkar worked with Emirates Financial Services (EFS), a subsidiary of Emirates Bank International. At EFS, he played a major role in the development of the UAE Capital Markets. His significant contributions included the creation of indices, and the launch and management of the UAE’s first three open-ended funds. He also established the brokerage arm of Emirates Financial Services and the registrar business.
Mr. Kamkar holds a Masters Degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh.

Maroua Naim Chief Planning Officer Dubai Investment Group
Maroua Naim joined Dubai Investment Group in early 2006. Previously, she was the Chief Business Excellence Officer of Dubai Holding. Prior to this, she was the Communications and Strategy Officer at Etisalat, a telecommunications company based in the United Arab Emirates. She was also the General Manager of Emirates Internet & Multimedia (EIM), the ISP unit of Etisalat. Instrumental in setting up EIM, she played a vital role in positioning the UAE as the world’s 18th most wired country.
Ms. Naim has over 15 years of experience in the Information Technology and Communication Industry. For over a decade, she worked for Bell Canada and Telecom Italia where she held various senior appointments.
A graduate in Electrical Engineering, Ms. Naim has multi-disciplinary qualifications holding two Masters Degrees in Operational Research and an executive MBA from prominent Canadian Universities. She has received several awards, including the 'Women's Best Contribution in Information Technology in the Middle East' award in 2004.

Rajat Jhunjhunwala Director Dubai Ventures
Rajat Jhunjhunwala has been with the company since 2006 and is responsible for investments in India, Pakistan, and other developing markets like Latin America and Eastern Europe. He also assists the CEO of the company in strategy and investments.
Mr. Jhunjhunwala has over ten years of work experience. His career began in the family business of designing and manufacturing equipment components for Philips in India. In 1999, he joined Lazard India as an investment banker. He spent the last two years of his five-year stint at Lazard focusing on restructuring companies.In 2004, he left the company, and in partnership with the Chairman of Lazard, set up a buyout/restructuring fund in India.
A commerce graduate from St. Xaviers College, Calcutta, India, Mr. Jhunjhunwala has a Masters in Business Administration from Ecole National Des Pont, Paris. He has also attended the Knowledge Management programme at the University of California at Berkeley.

Derek White Director DIG Real Estate & Hospitality
Derek White's extensive experience in the hospitality industry spans across 20 years. Before joining Dubai Group, he spent six years with Capital Hotel Management (CMH), a specialised firm providing hotel asset management services to third party investors and its own portfolio. During his tenure at CHM he served as the lead Asset Manager on a seven-hotel portfolio with over 6,000 rooms and valued at US$2.3 billion; and a portfolio of more than 10,000 rooms collectively valued at US$3.0 billion.
He served as the fiduciary and owner's representative for all owner-related decisions and activities including management oversight, risk management, capital expenditure and operation budget review and approval, disposition responsibility, renovation programming and oversight, management contract negotiation, investment analysis and investor reporting.
Additionally, Mr. White spent nine years with Hospitality Consulting, Inc. (and its successor, Landauer Associates, Inc.). He provided consulting services including asset management, feasibility analysis, diagnostic studies, valuations/appraisals, due diligence and investment analysis on all classes of real estate.
Mr. White is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and is an active member of the prestigious Hotel Asset Managers Association (HAMA). He represents Dubai Investment Group and Longwing Asset Management at various panels and associations and is starting a Middle Eastern chapter of the HAMA.
